How does online roulette work?

There are 37 or 38 numbers on the roulette wheel, depending on which form of roulette you play. The payout that you can win is always in proportion to what your risk is. If you bet on red or black, your chance of winning is nearly 50% and the payout doubles your bet. So if you bet 5 euros on red, you will get 10 euros back if the number that falls is also red. However, if you bet on a number, you will get your bet back 36 times! So if you bet 5 euros and your number falls, you will receive 180 euros back.
Differences between European and American roulette
A European roulette table has a zero, but an American roulette table has 2! So it's always better to play on a European roulette table than an American one. If you play on red or black or on odd or even and the ball falls to a zero, you win nothing. So that can happen twice as often on an American roulette table as on a European roulette table. So always be careful that you play at a European table.
